Lily Sandover has risked everything in her attempt to take down the Commission of the People and expose their corruption in post-Second Revolution America. Her group known as the Central Angels is gaining ground, forcing the people to question the practices of the Commission of the People. When Lily is disowned from her family, she plans more drastic moves, rallying her small collection of rebels against Dana Christenson with growing boldness.

But she underestimates her opponent. She finds herself backed into a corner, struggling to maintain her position against widespread propaganda and being framed for deadly attacks on the capital. Lily begins to lose hope and wonders if she will find a way to defeat Dana Christenson and bring about the change so desperately needed in America.

Suffering through loss and heartbreak, Lily fights to the bitter end against Dana’s influence, trying to survive crushing defeats and plots to flee the country before Dana can capture her.
